Camper & Nicholsons has an exceptional career opportunity as it seeks an accomplished professional to join as the Head of Charter Management department. This pivotal role will drive the development and growth of the department, shaping and executing strategic initiatives to elevate Camper & Nicholsons' charter management services to new heights, ensuring unparalleled experiences for clients worldwide.
To this end, the US Head of Charter Management department is responsible for developing a fleet of yachts and maintaining a department able to address the above-stated aspects of yacht chartering.
Missions :
- Generate contacts in order to develop new business for C&N and grow the fleet
- Recruit and supervise qualified Charter Managers depending on the growing of the fleet.
- Liaise with C&N brokers to keep them up to date with owner’s plans/wishes.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, captains, and crew.
- Keep Senior Management up to date on contracts, business, changes and issues.
- Continually visit and inspect yachts under management.
- Keep clients satisfied with a high quality of services.
- Project and manage department budget effectively.
- Plan and allocate work to staff.
- Assure that all requirements for commercial operations are met.
- Assist in presentations for prospective clients.
- Provide rapid and effective response to any issue.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of Flag regulations for major Flag States.
- Knowledge of tax and maritime laws.
- Working knowledge of yacht operational standards and procedures.
- Extensive yachting experience, mandatory on charter management
- Knowledge of maritime logistics, financial and crew matters
- Experience as Head of Department or strong experience as Charter Manager, with potential & willingness to become Head of Department
