Job Summary


Title: Social Impact Project Manager


Location: New York, NY (Full-Time, On-Site)


The Role:


Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Social Impact Project Manager. The Philanthropy department at Roc Nation serves as a social impact hub, helping athletes, artists, partners, and the company as a whole maximize the impact of charitable giving and activism by providing comprehensive philanthropic support. The Social Impact Project Manager is responsible for effectively ensuring that project goals and timelines are met. They will communicate effectively across internal and external teams to fulfill objectives. They will research, implement, and help to grow strategic actions and programs for select clients, department, and companywide initiatives. They will systematically track and analyze the results of the programs and initiatives for continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:


Rapid Response


  • Support all rapid response social justice actions including outreach to appropriate parties, coordinating meetings with internal teams, writing case briefs, monitoring cases


Research and Strategic Partnerships


  • Vet all strategic charitable partnership opportunities using frameworks and benchmarks developed by the philanthropy department
  • Provide thorough and grounded research to support the development and implementation of philanthropic and social impact programs, assisting in unifying, multiplying and amplifying client’s charitable foundations and program initiatives
  • Recommend authentic, impactful and creative client-charity collaborations for department head’s review and approval to present to clients


Program and Event Management & Execution


  • Manage logistics and operations for events and community programs
  • Research, design, develop, execute and evaluate program models that effectively and efficiently address charitable goals and their impact internally, locally, nationally and internationally
  • Lead the project management workflow for assigned projects
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative client, vendor and sponsor relationships with respect to objectives, work plans, recommendations, risks/roadblocks, and implementation plan


Impact Measurement and Reporting


  • Maintain clean and accurate accounts of all client initiatives and programs and maintain and update the impact dashboard
  • Maintain and update the project/program calendar
  • Prepare presentations for meetings and as needed
  • Provide regular reports to Managing Director on progress with clients


Supervison


  • Manage the department’s interns each semester


Qualifications:


  • Computer proficiency with MS Office products; building database reports, presentations, managing customized email communications to small and broad networks and audiences
  • Spanish speaking skills highly desirable
  • A warm and unpretentious individual with high integrity who is committed to excellence, practices good judgment, exudes credibility, shares an authentic passion for cause-driven work
  • Strong ability to work independently, as well as within and across teams in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing and navigating social media communications
  • BA/BS required with a minimum of 3- 5 years of experience within the non-profit and philanthropic sector
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with various constituencies including youth, parents/guardians, professional peers, executive level managers, talent across all industries
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, work on weekends and late evenings, as necessary


COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot are a mandatory requirement for this position.

The expected compensation for this position in NYC is:


$60,000.00 USD - $75,000.00 USD
