Brief Description
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is looking for an experienced Senior Director, Global Workplace with broad responsibilities across all our sites to support continued growth. This individual will provide leadership and strategic planning for all aspects of global facility and real estate operations (currently in Europe and North America) including the anticipation of future space requirements and providing solutions that are appropriate for each region and globally in a hybrid work environment. Additionally, this individual will build and manage a team which is in line with the business plan and budget, participate and provide leadership in sourcing services, and collaborate closely with executive team members and site leaders.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $200,000-$262,500. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.

Essential Functions
Real Estate Portfolio Planning & Management:
- Review lease language and develop work letters and milestones when appropriate. Partner with Legal department to ensure leases and amendments contain appropriate content.
- Manage construction projects from inception to completion. Determine the needs of affected departments and verify their requirements are in line with company goals. Ensure projects are designed to meet the business requirements. Participate in the selection of vendors, design and plan development, construction administration, change management, and relocation process. Participate in construction meetings ensuring the company is well represented. Oversee coordination with IT and incorporation of their requirements into the design and construction.
- Negotiate favorable terms on leasing and amendments that are in the best interests of the company for current and future requirements.
- Forecast real estate requirements in all regions. Maintain real estate knowledge of each region by developing relationships with local brokerage firms, building owners and developers as well as following local leasing activities.
- Coordinate office site selection with executive team members and site leaders. Present best alternatives and support the decision making process. Develop key metrics to support real estate decisions.
- Develop, implement and monitor short and long range global facility management business plans and budgets for each region ensuring that key metrics are defined and achieved. Include development plans to enhance employee satisfaction and operational goals.
- Identify options and implement physical workplace solutions as appropriate for employees who are not located near existing Jazz facilities.
- Develop, implement and oversee EH&S programs including Ergonomics, following industry best practices.
- Enhance security levels, create policies and conduct appropriate testing.
- Develop and implement all aspects of a global Emergency Action Plan including Notification System.
- Develop and implement effective global workplace strategies.
- Monitor facility requests and required support from other departments ensuring prompt resolutions.
- Manage the global workplace teams optimizing individual performance. Develop a talent management strategy and compensation award recommendations in line with business needs. Review staffing levels, performance, succession planning, training and recruitment.
- Assume budgetary responsibility for facilities costs including long range planning and annual operating plan development. Source and manage vendors as required for workplace and related activities.
- Lead the change management process and support required M&A integrations
- Consult and strategize with other departments such as Finance, Procurement, Legal, R&D, Commercial, Technical Operations and IT to ensure company directives are fulfilled in a timely and cost effective manner.
- A proven leader who motivates others to effectively deliver operational and strategic results
- Broad experience with Employee Health and Safety, Security and Risk Management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A minimum 12 years of facility management, construction and multi-national leasing experience
- Experience in successfully leading multi-national teams
- Ability to solve complicated problems including those dealing with different work styles
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and engineering reports
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to create and use spreadsheets as well as develop effective presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, business or engineering preferred (or equivalent experience). Master’s degree in business also desirable
