About The Job


As the Head of Platform Evolution and Innovation at Chanel, you will drive the ideation, planning, and prioritization of new features and enhancements for Chanel.com and related digital platforms. Collaborating with divisions and stakeholders, you will strategize and innovate omnichannel services while aligning the build roadmap with digital marketing operations. Your primary focus will be optimizing web conversions, delivering a superior user experience, and aligning the platform with business and division objectives. As a leader, you will foster growth, encourage innovation, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and manage a dedicated team responsible for product ownership and project management. By staying up to date with digital trends and keeping stakeholders informed, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the digital experience and achieving business goals.


Key Responsibilities include:


Business


  • Understand the impact of the client behavior from each new feature and site update and how one affects others
  • Play an influential role in the planning and experience of the run of all new features, including merchandising and client communication
  • Act as digital lead for platform related topics and act as project lead for key initiatives
  • Oversee all US platform 3rd party vendor relationships, evolutions, and budgeting
  • Oversee the planning and project management for all platform related projects in partnership with US Tech and Global Digital Services for build
  • Protect US digital roadmap while working with Global Digital Services and ensuring alignment with US Tech
  • Strategize and innovate omnichannel services, expansion and evolutions (i.e. features, functionalities and private access events)
  • Collaborate with the divisions and other corporate functions, provide cross-divisional solutions, and ensure strategy alignment across client journeys
  • Ideation, planning and prioritization of all new features, services, and enhancements for Chanel.com in alignment with divisions to help meet the business, departmental, and overall regional goals
  • Ensure Chanel.com is best in class for image and experience and is competitive with the day-to-day client journeys and checkout
  • Remain focused on existing features to maintain quality, evolve, and enhance as new developments arise
  • Adjust and re-prioritize as new, unplanned opportunities and requests arise
  • Communicate with other markets and global teams for pre-alignment
  • Optimize web conversions through smart roadmapping practices and checkout optimizations
  • Stay abreast of digital trends focusing on business drivers and experience enhancing features bringing new ideas on how to test for Chanel


Leadership


  • Foster strong relationships with multiple parties beyond project related agendas to drive continuous dialog around digital innovation
  • Create and drive operational ways of working with local and global teams
  • Manage a team focusing on product ownership and project management
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders within digital team, divisions, and Global Digital Services
  • Focus on being a facilitator, finding creative solutions and being pragmatic (MVP mindset)
  • Partner with Digital Insights and divisions to create and execute programs that meet the business needs
  • Foster a team environment of innovation, trust, and collaboration
  • Sit as sponsor of UX Research Team
  • Act as point of contact for Global Digital Services and US Tech for platform alignment and strategy
  • Have a deep understanding of each division’s vision, strategies, and priorities
  • Responsible for continuously updating stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $198,000 through $250,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
