The Client were exclusively representing are the Shopify for healthcare providers and are searching for a Head of Compliance

Required & Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to manage a team effectively is often preferred, as this role typically involves overseeing a compliance team.
• (Preferred) Knowledge of payer matters: Have knowledge of insurance models, payment models, and reimbursement strategies. They should understand the credentialing and privileging process, legal and regulatory aspects of payer-provider contracts, and Medicare and Medicaid rules.
• (Preferred) Experience in Digital Health: Prior experience in the digital health sector is often preferred, as this provides a better understanding of the specific challenges and risks in this field.
• Professional Certification: Certifications like Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and etc.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance roles within the healthcare sector. Ideally include experience in implementing compliance programs, working with regulatory bodies and payers.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: A comprehensive understanding of laws, regulations, and standards affecting the digital health industry such as HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, FDA regulations for digital health solutions, etc.
