Job Description

PingPong Global Solutions is a registered MSB with FinCEN and FINTRAC, and holds Money Transmitter Licenses in 40+ states.


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company stays in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the United States and Canada while also supporting business growth and delivering a positive customer experience.


Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the acquisition and maintenance of all business and regulatory required licenses, which may cover countries in other regions.
  • Provide regulatory reports timely and accurately as required, including MSB reports, SARs and OFAC reports, etc.
  • Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across business activities of the company and subsidiaries.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver positive customer experience while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Build and drive a high-performing compliance team.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the programs through compliance testing, internal and external audits.
  • Support regulatory examinations, license renewals, and other regulatory inquiries; maintain constructive communication and relationship with regulators.
  • Maintain current and extensive knowledge on relevant laws and regulatory guidelines; advise the Board and Management, train staff on new regulatory developments and recommend appropriate policies, procedures and internal controls accordingly.
  • Develop and implement North America Compliance Program and its related activities, covering all compliance regimes including regulatory compliance, licensing, AML/CFT, Sanctions, and Anti-corruption, etc.
  • Monitor adherence to all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage effective due diligence and monitoring program to third parties and vendors.
  • Proactively involve in the development and implementation of adequate compliance controls to new business initiatives and products.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years managerial experience in a similar role at a fintech payment company
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in compliance
  • Hands-on experience with anti-money laundering compliance and product compliance in payments or money service businesses
  • Sound knowledge of local regulations and requirements, including BSA/AML and OFAC Sanctions requirements
  • Experience in applying technology solutions to compliance programs is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in related area

Experience in working with international stakeholders is preferred
