About The Role


Insomnia Labs is seeking a seasoned Head of BD who will be responsible for driving revenue growth through targeted prospecting, cultivating high-quality leads, and closing profitable deals. This role will involve establishing and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with key decision-makers, C-level executives, and department heads. This role also requires a minimum of 8 years' experience in business development management, strategic partnerships, or a related field at a large brand-focused company or agency. This role will report to the CEO and this person will be collaborating with our technical and solutions teams to present compelling service offerings that address the unique needs of enterprise prospects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the thrill of pioneering new ground in the blockchain, AI, and emerging tech space.


You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will...


  • Collaborate with technical and solutions teams and present offerings/solutions to target enterprise prospects/customers
  • Provides accurate sales forecasts to management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis using the CRM systems
  • Identify new business solutions by researching Must Have Accounts including mapping the company’s org structure, identifying new opportunities, and understanding the key business drivers and competitive landscape
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Proactively anchor client meetings, leveraging the support of pre-sales, partner units, and external collaborators to pursue generated opportunities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships with brands that are interested in the blockchain, AI, and emerging techologies
  • Drive to achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets to support both TCV and ACV targets to drive business growth


Requirements


Head of BD’s responsibilities include targeting the right segment of prospects, growing the quality pipeline, winning profitable deals, and managing sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value. Develop relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new prospects and grow the business. Act as point of contact for resolution and escalation of all key items with the client and internal POCs/decision makers.


What It Takes To Be Successful


  • Experience with shaping, solutions and negotiating large complex, creative, and innovative transformation deals
  • 10 years with progressively increasing sales responsibility with proven history of consistently over-achieving sales quotas
  • Bachelor / Master’s degree
  • A hustler who believes in getting things done both internally and for the customer
  • Exceptional communication skills with analytical problem-solving and good client-need-assessment aptitude and making consultative sales to Directors, VPs, and C-Level executives
  • Prior experience in selling digital engineering, product development, and product support offerings to Enterprise Technology or Enterprises
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development or related roles in large companies focused on brands or in an agency/consulting environment


Nice to Haves


  • Advanced degree in business or marketing
  • Experience as a consulting manager in a top-tier management consulting firm OR Full Life Cycle Product services firm
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting and technology. Proven track record of success in leading and selling consulting projects in a variety of industries, including retail, CPG, healthcare, financial services, and fashion & apparel
  • Experience selling cloud computing, DevOps, AI & ML, and blockchain. Passionate about using technology to solve business problems and create new opportunities
