The VP of Business Development is a dynamic and highly experienced hands-on new business leader who will play an integral role in developing and executing Tag’s growth strategy to achieve its’ new business strategic objectives, identify/qualify and close generation of opportunities, establish/build/maintain a pipeline of potential new customers and deliver significant revenues with primary emphasis on new logo’s. This person will have Bus Dev oversight of a country.



  • *Identify, qualify and track targeted opportunities for the company to achieve growth in targeted markets and with targeted clients, in alignment with corporate business strategy.
  • *Design and articulate complex business solutions into saleable solutions to prospective new customers.
  • Collaborate with all internal functional teams (HR/IT/Finance/Marketing), Operations, Solutions and executive team in order to ensure that customer needs are met and new initiatives are being delivered
  • *Expand contacts with key client executives and maintain strong post-engagement relationships introducing new opportunities accordingly
  • Work with business leads to skillfully negotiate fees, SOWs, and lucrative partnerships
  • *Substantially grow and maintain a pipeline of viable prospective new customers and associated opportunities.
  • *Manage client opportunities – including RFP processes, consultancy reviews, and audit activities.
  • *Responsible for developing overall engagement strategy and working with discipline leads and project teams to execute on plans, including scopes of work and pricing strategy in partnership with the Commercial Finance team
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Track, monitor, and report growth pipeline using CRM tool — Zoho
  • *Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Directors. Assign sales target and be responsible to meet those targets
  • *Design and articulate complex business solutions into saleable solutions to prospective new customers. Be a great storyteller, formulating strong narratives about our capabilities and historical achievements and translating them into well-crafted RFI/RFP responses and pitch presentations
  • Maintain knowledge database of core new business assets — Assess and optimize all new business collateral, leading case study development, upgrading pitch templates and improving any external properties and communication vehicles
  • *New business development strategies, including assessing initial opportunities, collaborating with key internal stakeholders on pitch deliverables, interfacing with prospective clients, and creating written RFI/RFP
  • *Cultivate strong relationships with our Dentsu agency partners, including presenting our capabilities and working with our sister companies to determine how the services Tag provides can best fit with a particular client need/challenge
  • *Substantially grow and maintain a pipeline of viable prospective new customers and associated opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of industry, economic/business trends and advancements that may affect potential new business opportunities, and apply knowledge in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work with bid support to ensure all business development documents have useful content, are high quality, brand compliant, and delivered on deadline
  • Meet or exceed individual annual sales objectives.
  • Share knowledge, best practices and solution designs within assigned business unit to ensure continuous business improvement


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success in overachieving Business/Sales Targets.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications related discipline. A combination of education and experience can be substituted.
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving through an RFP process
  • Proven ability to access the c-suite within a Client environment, developing the appropriate Client relationship to successfully drive opportunities through the sales process.
  • Honest and ethical with an impeccable reputation in the industry
  • Experience in overseeing complex projects involving large, cross-functional teams
  • Experience writing/reviewing sales proposals and/or business documents
  • At least five years of demonstrated business development/ sales experience in a creative agency or production environment
  • Flexibility to multi-task and to perform a wide range of activities while being self-directed, self-motivated, and self-managed, even when operating outside of core focus
  • Strong business and financial acumen with analytical ability to assess the business and drive the organization forward
  • Demonstrable strong foundation in production, including content, video, print, social/digital, POSM etc.



Per New York state requirements, this posting reflects the salary range for this position for a New York based individual: $180k minimum - $195k maximum per annum. Compensation varies depending on job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs. For all other states, please inquire with the Tag Talent Acquisition Team.
