Your New Role
The DE&I GVP North America leader will design, lead and implement the diversity, equity, inclusion strategy across our North America markets for Warner Bros Discovery. Reporting to the CDEIO, the GVP DEI North America will partner with the global DE&I teams to build local programs and support where needed with local production and content efforts. The leader will ensure the design and development of business unit specific internal programs with a focus on recruitment, retention, progression, performance management, leadership development and employee engagement. The GVP will actively engage with the global content and production COE efforts with a DEI lens to embed DEI in all areas of the WBD operating model. This role partners closely with all areas of the business, specifically with the Global DE&I community, People and Culture Partners, Business Leaders, Business Resource Groups, North America DEI leads, Communications and Legal.
Your Role Accountabilities
  • Lead on activations of DEI programmatic efforts to build leadership capability and advance talent (i.e. mentoring/coaching/sponsorship programs, inclusive leadership program etc.).
  • Lead the DEI team in the US to ensure the implementation of impactful evidence-based DEI activity across WBD in alignment with global org wide and P&C priorities whilst monitoring progress towards goals.
  • Establish high credibility with internal and external stakeholders and partners at all levels and is regarded as a highly knowledgeable and trusted DE&I partner to influence change.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to embed diversity and inclusion principles into all aspects of the organization's policies, practices, and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on DEI trends, legislation, and best practices, and proactively identify emerging issues and opportunities.
  • Understand the local complexities across North America and work in partnership with regional teams to meet regulatory DEI requirements.
  • Bring a focused approach to drive strategic execution of Business & Creative Council DEI roadmaps to accelerate change at a local level.
  • Manage, track and ensure processes and protocols for DEI are implemented across North America through close engagement with P&C COEs and People and Culture Partners to embed DEI in all areas of our work.
  • Ensure North America DEI team partners closely with WBD Communications teams to manage DEI campaigns and to ensure DEI is proactively communicated both internally and externally through engaging relevant social channels.
  • Build WBD brand proposition through strategic external partnerships. Support work with key partners, stakeholders and suppliers to drive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the sector.
  • Be accountable for supporting the North America Business leadership (Business Unit Leads) in driving the DEI agenda.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience designing and leading employee facing programs and trainings from concept to launch.
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition Leaders and People and Culture Partners to increase representation.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organisation that is complex, nuanced and disparate in terms of legislative and regulatory environments, and cultural and societal norms, to deliver appropriate DEI activities.
  • Showcase commitments that are aligned to the global agenda and business goals, publicising these externally when appropriate.
  • Represent WBD at internal and external events, fostering strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on global DEI trends, legislation, and best practices, and proactively identify emerging issues and opportunities.
  • Experience in creating and delivering a strategy based on system level thinking with a data driven approach.
  • Experience of working in a DEI function for a global organisation.
  • Evidence of BRG growth strategies and governance frameworks.

The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $232,540.00 - $431,860.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
