Job Category
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our team at 360 Finance. The General Manager will be responsible for driving the overall success and growth of our business by overseeing sales, marketing, operations, product development, and profit and loss (P&L) management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the finance industry, specific point of sale (PoS) lending experience, excellent leadership skills, exceptional communication skills and an understanding of the home improvement market.
360 Finance, powered by Modernize Home Services, is a disruptive and cutting-edge point of sale financing solution for the home improvement industry. Professional home improvement is a massive industry, with more than $450 billion of homeowner spend every year and growing. Many surveys and studies have shown that most homeowners who undertake a home improvement project would finance that project if financing were fast, easy, and affordable. 360 Finance addresses this need by bringing a modern online borrowing environment and a curated network of lenders covering the full credit spectrum directly to the kitchen table, enabling contractors to deliver a fast, easy, and comprehensive financing solution to its customers. Existing solutions are single lender solutions and use antiquated application flows, resulting in low approval rates, multiple attempts to find a loan, slow and clunky application processes, and contractor and homeowner frustration. 360 Finance solves these problems, delivering industry leading approval rates, a fast and seamless experience for contractors and homeowners, and more closed jobs.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent and experienced communicator both internally and externally who will work with Sr. Executives and cross-functional teams with high-frequency; ability to deliver ‘the good, the bad, the ugly’ with plans to get back on track if and as needed.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and customer preferences, and identify opportunities for product enhancements and new offerings.
  • Partner effectively with existing Lender and Contractors teams to lead, develop and implement effective sales, account management, and marketing strategies to drive lender and contractor acquisition, growth and retention.
  • Actively improve lender credit models to reduce financial risk, expand product our set, and curate strategic contractor relationships as part of the overall business strategy to meet division goals.
  • Partner with the existing team to ensure plans are being executed and we continue to evolve our operating processes i.e.: ensuring efficient and effective processes and workflows, beating KPIs.
  • Optimize vendor solutions and endorse holistic processes to foster cross-functional collaboration to meet division goals.
  • Work with team to develop best in class workflows and reporting with tools like: Tableau, SFDC and other proprietary applications.
  • Operations Management:
  • Instrument and regularly report on the state of the business and key initiatives, including developing an executive dashboard and KPI, develop and cascade department KPIs, and effectively manage team KPIs, accountability, professional development and execution.
  • Develop channel leaders across core functions: Lender, Contractor, Operations and Product, consistently up leveling their skills and the execution of their respective teams.
  • Hire, retain and grow top talent as the business scales past MVP launch to commercial scale.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, revenue and profit targets, compensation plans and expense controls using financial analysis to drive modeling and forecasting for the business.
  • Lender and Contractor Sales and Development:
  • Develop and execute the division’s strategic vision, goals, and initiatives to drive growth, scale and profitability.
  • Proactively overcome obstacles with people, plans and processes; perform with a ‘in-it-to-win-it’ mentality while maintaining a positive and uplifting work environment.
  • Strategic Leadership & Execution:
  • Profit and Loss Management:
  • Implement strategies to maximize revenue growth and manage costs effectively.
  • Partner with existing product team to future-proof product suite and deliver against brand promise.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Establish and maintain executive relationships with key industry stakeholders, including lenders, contractors, and partners.
  • Product Development:
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to optimize profitability, including risk management and mitigation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the point-of-sale finance or home improvement industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with track record of building strong relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of managing profit and loss and achieving financial targets.
  • Successful leadership development background, building and growing teams across sales, marketing, account management (lender and contractor), operations and product.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, lending practices, regulatory oversight, and underwriting procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).

The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 USD to $215,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
