Our client, an established global manufacturer, is seeking a Full-Time Product Manager to join their team in Nashville, TN!
The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of the existing portfolio of products. They will play a crucial role in leveraging consumer insights and adopting an “ownership” mindset to identify and implement actions that to improve market share and profitability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing full lifecycle of assigned product portfolio, including marketing, budgeting and Voice of Customer responsibilities.
- Coordinating Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities and other market research to understand customer requirements and drive decisions for assigned product portfolio.
- Achieving and surpassing annual net sales, retail sales, and ensuring inventory goals are met.
- Monitoring competitive product activity and developing competitive product analysis.
- Managing material, inventory, and operational costs and recognizing products that no longer provide a significant contribution to the portfolio.
- Identifying emerging opportunities by staying up to date with the current market.
- Participating in product sales training and assisting in the development of training tools and marketing collateral materials.
- Championing product positioning and marketing by understanding and advocating for the customer.
- Collaborating with finance and sales team to develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
- Completing other assignments, duties, and tasks as required.
- Developing, presenting, and implementing product strategies that are consistent with the company vision.
- Collaborating with the procurement team to ensure optimal material cost while mitigating business risks and minimizing operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Development within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of target markets
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Engineering. MBA is a plus.
- Ability to clearly articulate customer needs and facilitate VOC activities.
