The Ighalos Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Management Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a Product Management Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in educating and mentoring students in the field of product management. This remote, part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for you to share your expertise and help prepare the next generation of product managers.
Responsibilities
1. Effective Instruction: Develop and deliver high-quality instructional materials, lectures, and interactive learning experiences that effectively teach product management concepts, methodologies, and best practices to students.
2. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the curriculum team to create, update, and enhance course materials, ensuring alignment with industry standards and the latest trends and tools in product management.
3. Student Engagement: Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation, critical thinking, and practical application of product management principles.
4. Assessment: Design and administer assessments, projects, and practical exercises to evaluate student understanding and proficiency in product management. Analyze student performance data to inform instructional improvements.
5. Support and Guidance: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments and progress. Be available for virtual office hours and one-on-one or group consultations to address questions and provide guidance.
6. Stay Informed: Stay current with the latest developments in product management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean) and tools (e.g., product management software) to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant and current.
7. Career Development: Mentor and advise students on potential career paths within the product management field, including guidance on obtaining relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing).
8. Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative tasks related to teaching, including grading, attendance tracking, and course documentation.
Qualifications
1. Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in product management, business administration, or a related field. An MBA or product management certification is a plus.
2. Experience: Substantial professional experience in product management, including leading product teams and launching successful products. Demonstrable expertise in product management methodologies and tools.
3. Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching or training, especially in a remote or online setting, is advantageous.
4. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of product management software and tools. Proficiency in industry-standard product management software is preferred.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex product management concepts clearly and effectively.
6. Self-motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality instruction in a remote work environment.
7. Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students succeed in their product management careers.
