Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in Special Education or a closely related discipline with expertise in Mild and Moderate Support and/or Extensive Support for neurodiverse students. You will have a strong record in teaching a diverse student body and play a vital role in shaping our department's curriculum.

You'll create a positive learning environment, fostering motivation, and persistence among our adult learners. Additionally, you will personalize teaching to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities
Facilitate a positive and inclusive learning environment through engaging teaching methods.
Utilize adaptive and advanced technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Offer timely and constructive feedback, empowering students to excel in their studies.
Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in your field to contribute to the university's scholarly pursuits.
Engage in service activities, such as committees and community outreach, to promote program excellence.
What We're Looking For
A Ph.D. or Ed.D in Special Education or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of recent teaching experience in Special Education within the PK-12 education system in the United States.
Valid, state-issued teaching credential/license in Special Education.
Experience working with neurodiverse students with mild and moderate and/or extensive support needs.
Demonstrated experience in online higher education teaching and course development.
Specialization in Mild and Moderate Supports and/or Extensive Supports for neurodiverse students preferred.
Knowledge of California teacher standards and expectations for Education Specialist credential candidates preferred.
