Job Description

PathMatch is a Career Navigation App for Students and Recruiting Platform for Employers. Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to join their team for Fall 2023. As a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern, you will work closely with their team of experienced developers and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software applications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and client-focused environment, where you will have the chance to enhance your technical skills while making a real impact on their projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the testing and debugging processes, ensuring the reliability and performance of the software.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and designers, to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating them into their development processes to meet client needs effectively.
  • Assist in designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend and frontend components for web and mobile applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Document your work, including system architecture, code documentation, and technical specifications, to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the team of engineers to develop high-quality software applications and features, following industry best practices and coding standards.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
  • Previous internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails, or ASP.NET.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Understanding of software development principles, including version control, testing, and debugging.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL, with the ability to design efficient data models and write complex queries.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
