Job Role: Software Application Engineer (Full-Stack) (JavaScript, REACT, TypeScript, Springboot)

Software Application Engineer (Full-Stack) (JavaScript, REACT, TypeScript, Springboot)

Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), open source, and in-house software applications which comprise the full system suite. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Good communication skills are needed both verbally and written, to interact with peers and customers. Job also requires the ability to work well with others on a team and independently.

Basic Qualification (Skills/ Experience)

7+ years Solid knowledge in UI languages, libraries and concepts such as HTML 5, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript

Must have experience with JavaScript frameworks like React JS, TypeScript, ES6

Good understanding of JEE frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot.

Good understanding of Relational database experience and demonstrated abilities in SQL and data modelling is required.

Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed mission critical applications.

Create & Own design and development artifacts as per best SDLC practices.

Strong work ethic, communication skills & good time management with ability to add value to diverse teams, meetings and stakeholders' meetings.

Ability to develop new and innovative applications as well as working with existing code.

Complete ability to manage all software configuration items, installation and cutover of the computing products within a given scope.

Working exposure with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Desired Skills

Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS), Geo/Mapping engines and tools such as GeoServer, OpenLayers, Global Mapper, OpenStreetMap

Eye for user-focused design and UI/UX and usability design.

Experience with JavaScript ES6, TypeScript languages

Experience with UI frameworks such as Material-UI

Experience with RxJS, redux-saga, or other data and state management frameworks

Experience working within a Cloud Computing Platform such as Azure.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server.

Experience with Agile Methodologies and tools (Scrum, Jira)

Experience in Data structures, algorithms and Design Patterns.

Knowledge of RESTful service principles

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on visualizing and understanding data.
