Forklift Mechanic – Fleet Maintenance

General duties include responsible for the repair on all warehouse moving equipment.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:

• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
• Must be able to work night shifts and weekends
• Decision making and problem solving required
• Must furnish basic tools
• Physical ability to do moderate to heavy lifting, reaching, twisting, stooping, bending and other movements on a repetitive basis
• Perform repairs in other shop departments as needed
• Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
• Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, transporters, tuggers and electric and manual pallet jacks
• Must possess the ability to complete given assignments within allotted time periods in a safe and diligent manner with minimal supervision

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum four (4) years work experience and/or classroom related training
• Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record

Hourly Pay Range: $17.31 – $ 31.48 This position is covered under the Teamsters Warehouse Agreement
