Forklift Field Mechanic Jobs

Some welding and fabrication experience required

Minimum of 3 years diesel experience

SAFETY is the #1 priority for our company and mechanics.

Perform repairs and service on all company equipment/trucks/trailers in the field.

Able to conduct routine maintenance in the field.

3 years of experience with the repair/maintenance of industrial fork trucks.

Electric & manual pallet jack repair/maintenance experience.

Aerial lift repair/maintenance experience would be a plus.

Must have a clean driving record for the past 5 years.

Must be able to use a computer for several different task including creating repair work orders.

Informal resource for less relevant experienced team members

Full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures

Works within defined technical processes and may provide input on new methods

Explain complex information to team and others

Minimum four (4) years work experience and/or classroom related training

Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, transporters, tuggers and electric and manual pallet jacks

Decision making and problem solving required

Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance

Must possess the ability to complete given assignments within allotted time periods in a safe and diligent manner with minimal supervision

Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company

Perform Data Entry in Maintenance Software to track repairs

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, trailers and vehicles, and performs or schedules needed repairs

Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations

Perform routine truck, trailer, and/or forklift P.M.s

Responsible for Hydraulic and Transmission repair

Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

$5000 SIGN ON BONUS / $2500 REFERRAL BONUS

Fill out accurate work orders daily

Must be able to safely operate lift trucks

Able to work in varying weather conditions

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour

Welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing of mechanical equipment preferred
