Job Description

Role: Financial Reporting Associate, Global Investment Manager


Group: Finance & Accounting


Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days in office

Our client, a top global investment firm, is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst or Associate with strong finance, accounting, and/or auditing experience to join their team in Nashville.


The ideal candidate:

Will have solid financial/investment reporting, or auditing accounting experience, with an investment firm, fund administrator, or accounting firm.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and analysis for consolidated SEC reporting (10K/10Q)
  • Prepare the GAAP quarterly results review packages for senior leadership and assist in developing insightful analytics to clearly convey the financial performance of the business
  • Compile and advise on monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports
  • Support questions from Investor Relations and senior management in preparation for the quarterly earnings release
  • Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by developing and implementing best practices
  • Support key business initiatives and transactions
  • Foster strong relationships through regular interactions and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support numerous ad hoc requests for financial information from various corporate and business partners
  • Working closely with Finance Shared Services (FSS) and other business partners to coordinate various close processes
  • Prepare annual 15(C) Board Reporting package to assess mutual fund profitability


Requirements

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results
  • Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others to drive execution
  • 2+ years experience at a Big 4 Accounting firm (or similar), or financial services firms, banks, asset management or fund administrator experience
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and succinct way to peers and senior management
  • Solid financial statement, regulatory review, and preparation experience
  • Accounting and reporting experience in the financial services (investment management) industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a must (CPA preferable)
