Reporting And Data Analyst

The Reporting & Data Analyst gathers, manages, interprets and presents information through comprehensive reports and presentations to upper management and executive staff. It is their responsibility to identify and develop new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis and reporting. This is accomplished through system and process examination, problem solving, substantial interdepartmental teamwork, organization, attention to detail and decision making. Additionally, the Reporting & Data Analyst must be able to listen to management pain points and understand departmental processes in order to use creative thinking and problem solving to identify business solutions which work across the entire scope of the company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Extract and organize relevant data from primary and secondary data sources for use in reporting and presentations.
• Monitor the execution and completion of credit rebills as they pertain to athletes and POS.
• Identify areas which need improvement and provide recommendations based on analysis performed.
• Assemble and analyze data for business reports, ensuring data calculations are accurate.
• Analyze informational needs and identify the systems and datasets required to provide effective reporting.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for various systems and business processes, including databases and reporting procedures.
• Analyze and understand current processes and procedures as they span across multiple departments to locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Create workflow charts.
• Work closely with various departments in managing and maintaining the quality of data collected.
• Perform system and procedure testing and integration tasks as needed.
• Deconstruct high level business needs into functional needs by understanding underlying issues and determining data requirements.
• Work in conjunction with other departments to solution relatable workflow problems and boost efficiency
• Establish new processes and procedures through problem solving and system design.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies which optimize efficiency and data quality.
• Examine and analyze reports to identify and resolve errors.
• Create visual and written presentations for executive staff.

Position Requirements:

• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
• Ability to quickly identify the datasets and process by which to construct reports, spreadsheets, presentations and workflows in a timely manner.
• Technical proficiency regarding data models, database design and development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong “people” skills and be able to work with all levels of individuals internal and external to the organization.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to ensure all tasks are completed by the due date.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and circulate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Skilled in SAP & Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access.
• Must have excellent organization and follow-up skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
