Finance Analyst - Cre Brokerage

A top boutique real estate advisory firm that provides creative capital solutions to real estate investors and developers is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their close-knit team. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of and advanced knowledge of Excel, Argus, and Publisher. The right candidate is highly skilled and motivated with strong experience in mortgage banking or with a sales brokerage team. You will have an opportunity to work with an high volume debt and equity origination team and make a valuable impact with plenty of opportunity for further development. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly driven individual to work with a strong team and take on a multi-faceted role where you will put major deal packages together and support the overall efforts of the firm.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate due diligence, property inspections, lease review, and loan closing
• Securing and negotiating term sheets from prospective lenders
• Interacting with clients and capital providers
• Develop financial models, cash flow projections, and underwriting using Argus and Excel
• Creating financing packages for prospective lenders
• Market research on vacancy rates, market rents, and cap rates
• Provide support to principals and help with the overall review of financial statements, operating statements, leases, and other due diligence material

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong academic background and undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, management or real estate. Real estate program or coursework a plus
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
• Minimum of 2+ years of commercial real estate experience
• Ability to create financial models from scratch
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, research, and strong writing skills
• Real estate underwriting and valuation experience
• Argus experience a big plus.
• Advanced use of Excel required.
• Familiarity with internet based real estate research resources for market information, interest rates, geo- mapping, etc.
