Finance Analyst Jobs

Minimum qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in finance, management consulting, banking, or a similar role, including Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) and project management.
• Experience with financial modeling, financial investments and capital allocations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to communicate insights to Technical Management teams and align business leaders on recommendations and decisions.
• Ability to influence executive business partners.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Ability to self-start and self-direct work in a fast-paced unstructured environment.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide executive level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
In this role, you will lead the creation of new Google-wide processes to review and approve the investments. You will build alignment across a broad set of stakeholders on the new approach and new forums.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive the Machine Learning (ML) investments for Google in both technical capabilities and in Compute/Machines capacity.
• Help drive the annual planning process for total ML fleet investment.
• Build and cultivate an effective cross-functional and cross-product area network to enable Google-wide impact from ML investment decisions.
• Develop and drive a quarterly cross-functional operational planning, meetings to align on total Google machines capacity needs to support quarterly allocation, decisions of fleet capacity, and to review/approve business cases for future.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to evaluate the Return On Investment (ROI) of software and hardware/platforms.
