FINANCE ANALYST
Administrative Analyst Specialist
Budget and Compliance
Salary Range: $3518 - $6791/Monthly
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.
Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the AVP for Budget, Planning, and Fiscal Compliance, the Administrative Analyst performs a broad range of administrative analytical and support duties in support of the Budget, Planning, and Fiscal Compliance area. General administrative functions include scheduling, calendaring, and support assistance. The incumbent will: perform analysis and evaluation of various administrative processes and systems to support organizational unit operations; advise management on policy and procedures related to finance, budgets, personnel, and related operational functions to meet programmatic goals; perform analysis and prepare and develop various reports; perform financial analysis, planning, and fund management; provide budget analysis; accounting and administration; and office automation planning and coordination.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them. Basic knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts. Ability to: learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques; organize and plan work and projects including handling multiple priorities; make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment; compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; and establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the work group and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or declare a medical or religious exemption from doing so.
