About This Role:

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for performing customer support, on-site installation, and service and repair of complex Laser and light-based medical equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Instructs customer in the operation and maintenance of the system.
• The selected candidate will manage designated territory and the surrounding area. Travel to surrounding areas will be required.
• Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Field Service engineers work on problems of diverse scope.
• Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in analog and digital electronic circuitry
• High School or equivalent and 2 years or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in assigned area preferred
• Experience with lasers and optics is a plus.

• AS/ BS degree in electronics or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electronic system troubleshooting.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with customers.
• Coursework in Laser Technology and Optics is highly desirable.

The anticipated hourly base pay range for this full-time position working at this location will be from $27.00/hour to $45.80/hour, plus variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
