Job Description

Role Description

This part-time role as a Fashion Design Assistant at Verdin Bridal located in Middletown, NY involves assisting our fashion design team in the creation of high-end bridal wear by contributing to the design and construction process. As a Fashion Design Assistant, you will aid our designers with sketching, pattern making, and preparing presentations. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining fabric and trim libraries, interfacing with suppliers, and supporting other administrative tasks.


Qualifications

  • Prior internship or work experience in fashion design or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Knowledge of garment construction, including pattern-making, draping, and sewing
  • Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and 3D modeling software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with excel
  • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills
