Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Fashion Design and Production Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about fashion design and eager to gain hands-on experience in the industry. As a Fashion Design and Production Assistant, you will support our design and production team in various tasks related to the creation and manufacturing of our fashion products.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet the company's standards.
• Assist in pattern making and sample development, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with the design team to assist in the development and execution of new fashion collections.
• Support the production team in communicating with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Help in coordinating and organizing fashion shows, photoshoots, and other events.
• Assist in creating detailed technical sketches, specifications, and mood boards.
• Source and order fabric, trims, and other materials needed for production.
• Coordinate and maintain an organized inventory of materials and supplies.
• Monitor and maintain the production timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
• Stay updated on industry trends, attending trade shows, fashion events, and exhibitions.
• Conduct research on fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques to support the design process.
• Assist in fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments to patterns and samples.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the design and production team.

Qualifications:

• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for emerging trends.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software.
• Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of pattern making and garment construction.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of fashion design principles and techniques.
