Farm Manager Jobs

Mission of Mary Cooperative (MMC) is a non-profit organization invested in the sustainable development of the Twin Towers neighborhood of Dayton, OH through food access, sustainability education, and native land restoration programming on 6 urban gardens (5 acres).

The Farm Manager will be directly responsible for all plans and activities relating to MMC’s farm operations and food access programs. MMC’s farm uses sustainable and organic practices to provide healthy food access, especially to underserved populations through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, other food distribution programs, and local community events. The Farm Manager will directly oversee the following (but not limited to) staff members and constituents: Farmer, Farm Apprentices, Farm Volunteer Interns, Market Worker, Marianist PULSE Volunteer, and short-term volunteers.

A typical day as the Farm Manager could include:

• Plan, manage, delegate, and execute farm operations and produces sales and distribution
• Practice and educate the farm team on sustainable farming
• Manage communications and partner relationships related to our CSA program, online store enterprise, farmers markets, food donations, and community events around food

This career may be for you if:

• You have at least one year of experience with direct supervisory or professional educational experience
• You are confident in leading a team on farm and production tasks
• You have experience leading a farm operation's marketing, customer relations, and retail sales
