Applicants are expected to be based in metro-Atlanta with the ability to easily reach the Buckhead and Sandy Springs areas. We offers flexibility with options of hybrid in-person/virtual work and a four-day work week if preferred. This creates an accessible, equitable, and welcoming work environment for our team. If you have any accessibility concerns regarding this role, please feel free to apply and include that information within your application.

Responsibilities & A Typical Week

Here is an example of what a four-day work week may look like:

  • Wednesday (Virtual) - Join a 2-hour session of our accelerator program to provide operations support to the program manager. Upload the session recording, edit an automatically generated meeting summary, and send a follow-up email to the participants of the program. Finalize presentation for upcoming conference in working session w/ Operations Director.
  • Friday (In-Person) - Meet in-person with Executive Director to finalize grant proposal for submission. Schedule upcoming week's travel for a conference. Review accounting for the week and upload information into Quickbooks.
  • Tuesday (In-Person) - Meet in-person with Executive Director and accompany to meetings. Compile action items and relevant information for meetings / coordinate with relevant individuals. Send follow-up and thank you emails. Prepare presentation for an upcoming conference.
  • Monday (Virtual) - Start the day by joining our weekly team meeting to set priorities and action items. Review calendar with executive director. Connect with social media agency to provide them an update on upcoming events. Prepare letter of intent for grant proposal.

Measurements of Success

  • Positive feedback from the Synergies Work team
  • Contribution and engagement in Synergies Work's initiatives, programs, and mission
  • Improvement of operations and efficiencies
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders including disabled founders

Qualifications

  • Preferred - Previous experience in administrative role, preferably within a non-profit environment or within the disability and entrepreneurship communities.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and decipher complex organization needs
  • High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential business and health information
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other productivity tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build relationships
