Events Producer (Hybrid) Jobs

Compensation Range: $45 - 50 per hour

Our client in the oil & gas space is looking to add a talented Events Producer to their team. In this role, you will work on all live events - small, mid, to large-scale sized events. The ideal candidate will have experience with corporate events of different sizes and possess top-notch communication and collaboration skills. Applicants must be local to Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

Pre-production planning:

• Collaborate with the creative team to understand and help shape the creative vision.
• Collaborate with project managers on establishing timelines.
• Obtain necessary permits and permissions for shooting in specific locations, if required.
• Ensure the client is provided with all information needed in alignment with the audience communication plan.
• Work with internal stakeholders and clients to coordinate locations, talent, staging, and equipment for the show.
• Attend client scoping calls to understand project objectives and requirements.
• Work with the internal team as well as outside vendors to assemble the crew.
• Create detailed project plans and budgets.
• Lead the creation of a "production book."
• Make sound judgment calls and communicate recommendations to produce a successful event.
• Collaborate with the Production Engineer on technical requirements and capabilities.
• Be a steward of the company brand guidelines and clearly communicate those guidelines to vendors as well as clients.
• Scout locations and collaborate with local experts to inform the agenda, and gain knowledge of specific safety requirements and recommend appropriate crew size.
• Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure all safety protocols are adhered to and all crew members are briefed ahead of production.

Production coordination:

• Work with the Production Manager to ensure all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event, ensuring smooth progress of the production.
• Ensure the location is returned to its previous state after production.
• Schedule and coordinate all aspects of the production, including coordinating locations, advising on travel plans and organizing logistics.
• Oversee the setup of staging and any other technical requirements.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager to manage the schedule of the crew.

Post-production management:

• Follow internal processes to secure appropriate reviews and approvals with all stakeholders.
• Work with the Production Manager to secure an Editor and communicate a clear vision for the project.
• Follow the archiving processes and manage the organization of all project files and assets.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure all media is gathered after the shoot, ingested to the server, and verified.
• Secure all media needed for the edit.

Budget and timeline management:

• Proactively identify and address any budget or timeline concerns, proposing solutions as needed.
• Regularly communicate with project managers and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with the project team throughout production to manage stakeholder expectations, and employee workflow to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and expected quality standards.

Team collaboration and leadership:

• Encourage a positive and productive work environment, inspiring creativity.
• Be proactive, professional, nimble and resourceful to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
• Provide guidance and support to the creative team, project managers, video crew and other production team members.
• Foster effective collaboration among team members, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors and freelancers as necessary.
