Lawrence Wine Estates supports a growing collection of wine estates in Napa Valley. The collection includes Heitz Cellar, Burgess Cellars, and Stony Hill Vineyards, all wineries with a deep legacy in Napa Valley, as well as four new brands that are anchored by distinct estate vineyards. Since the purchase of Heitz Cellar in 2018, owner Gaylon Lawrence and Master Sommelier and CEO Carlton McCoy have continued to acquire unique vineyards and now seek to launch new brands to realize more fully the potential of more than 600 acres of Napa Valley vineyards. All the estate brands honor traditional wine styles and prioritize natural farming techniques to create pure and balanced wines of the highest quality. Lawrence Wine Estates is actively expanding, creating a fast-paced environment. This endeavor creates a unique work culture where winemaking and vineyard traditions are honored, but the spirit is entrepreneurial. Lawrence Wine Estates works closely with Demeine Estates, the sales and marketing partner for each of the wine estates.
We are looking for a passionate, talented, charismatic leader to fill the role of Estate Director at one of our premier Lawrence Wine Estates brands. This role represents a rare opportunity to work with an exceptional team to create the new Napa and leave an indelible mark on the wine world.
As a part of Lawrence Wine Estates, you will shares in the wealth of knowledge, experience, and support from its sister wineries, including Heitz Cellar, Stony Hill, Brendel, Burgess Cellars and Ink Grade Estate. The ideal candidate is a leader capable of sharing our voice, pedigree, and passion for taking this iconic brand to new heights.
- Work with a team to develop a world-class private tasting program
- Provide consistent team leadership, planning and direction to ensure achievement of DTC goals for Tasting Room, Wine Club, E-commerce, Events and maintains the highest quality of Guest Services
- Provide a charismatic, infectious brand of leadership with our team, our guests and our partners to deliver the highest-quality consumer engagement in the Napa Valley
- Oversee and ensure the professional development of all team members, instituting consistent one on one meetings with each individual on the team to foster the valley's top talent
- Foster lasting relationships with top customers through direct sales and relationship-based outreach using current CRM systems
What you'll bring to the table:
- Proven ability to create an achievement culture that shares and incorporates best practices with all team members to grow the business
- Experience in execution of fine wine programming and events
- Proven verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing diverse DTC teams
- Added experience with launching new brands/businesses is a plus
- Experience with P&L management, accountability and delivery, annual planning, and budgeting
- Skilled at collaboration and achieving through partnership and team play
- Ability to establish and execute goals with our staff and through regular commercial reviews
- Administrative Proficiency in effective winery/beverage POS systems
- Ability to build an inclusive model for team engagement that champions diversity and coaches and empowers others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook)
- Team leadership and organizational skills with proven ability to set, prioritize and manage a strategic plan
- Structured leadership, with an innate curiosity to learn & grow
- DTC sales management & marketing experience required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Other Requirements:
Employee must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Driver's License, and be insurable by company standards.
