CLIP Software is an industry leading business management software within the landscape and lawn maintenance industry and has been for the past 35+ years. CLIPitc is the most recent version of CLIP and the Development and Engineering Manager will lead the inhouse and outsourced development team, develop the software by improving existing features and adding new features, and help ensure departmental budgetary goals are met. This role is a player – coach role, as the ideal candidate will be able to both lead and manage as well as perform coding and programming.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with the CLIP team to build, manage, and accomplish the product roadmap
  • Design, develop and deploy new functionalities for applications using .NET stack
  • Actively participate in new code and maintaining current application code
  • Manage and lead a team of outsourced and inhouse developers
  • Work to refine requirements to enhancements existing or new functionalities
  • Ensure infrastructure is maintained and running as needed
  • Ensure design and development standards are current and being followed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Organize and lead meetings with both the oursourced and inhouse development teams as seen fit to cohesively work together to accomplish projects
  • Manage a team of outsourced developers
  • Oversee hiring of developers and development staff as needed
Budget Responsibilities:
  • Assists in managing overall costs for all development needs
  • Assist in budget planning for the R&D department
Primary Qualifications:
  • Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good experience in using Microsoft development toolset
  • Take part in Scrum development process
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • UI/UX and design work is a plus
  • Familiarity with coding standards like SOLID
  • Hands on experience using JIRA or any similar source controls
  • Experience with Blazor is a plus
  • At least 4 years of experience in developing .NET applications
  • Must have strong hands-on experience in developing applications using C#, ASP.NET Webforms, Web API, Telerik tools, and Blazor

Physical demands and work environment:
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
This position is 100% remote. The candidate would need to have a suitable work environment set up as their home office and be comfortable managing their own schedule in a non-corporate office environment.
