EGXFuels is developing transformative technologies in the geothermal energy and green fuel industries. Our driving mission is to harness super-hot geothermal energy resources and produce carbon-free and carbon-neutral fuels to meet the world’s renewable energy needs.Utilizing proprietary geothermal energy and green fuel production technologies, we plan to deliver green fuels at a cost vastly lower than any other fuel in use today.
The candidate will play a key role in the development of our business units. Responsibilities include developing financial models for our business units, analyzing past, current, and future business trends, and harnessing data to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Communicate results, recommendations, and insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete ad hoc projects and reports as required.
- Develop financial and operational models for our large-scale green energy projects, and use these models to forecast performance, identify risks, and drive decision making as we bring our technology to market.
- Research and follow the global green energy and green fuels markets to inform business development strategy and identify potential areas of risk and opportunity.
- Build and manage proprietary datasets, and ensure their continued relevance, quality, and accuracy.
- Identify and implement operational tools to help run the day-to-day business and anticipate the demands of the growing organization.
Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and database modeling is a plus.
- Experience aggregating and consolidating information from disparate systems, analyzing data, and presenting findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Works independently with limited supervision; works well collaborating across functional areas.
- Experience applying quantitative methodologies to analyze market risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related finance and/or analytical experience.
- Forward-thinking; anticipates and addresses potential issues well in advance of deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is a must.
- Manages and prioritizes projects in a detailed, effective, process-oriented manner, within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business processes and to distill insightful conclusions from large volumes of data.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
