Email/ Marketing Coordinator Jobs

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with content, brand, and promotional marketing operations for an influential and highly respected publication. This position plays a critical role in reader acquisition, retention, and engagement efforts across web, email, and traditional mail channels.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day point of contact with internal email coordinator and email service provider, such as Sailthru to finalize email sends
• Maintaining, editing, and reporting on automated email series, such as the new subscriber welcome series
• Editing, scheduling, and reporting for content and subscription promotion email campaigns through an email service provider system (Sailthru)
• Updating scheduling, and project managing all subscriber promotion and retention efforts on project management systems (eg Basecamp)
• Copywriting/editing and deploying onsite messaging for reader engagement, retention, and content promotion via proprietary system to reader segments and in email.

Qualifications:

• High level of proficiency with promotional language crafting, and adobe creative suite, as well as a comfortability with analytics, campaign tracking and reporting tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, english, language arts, publishing, communications or related fields with high academic achievement
• 3+ years of experience with a major email service provider such as SendGrid, Sailthru, Constant Contact, etc.
• 3+ years of related experience in publishing, communications, marketing, advertising or a related industry preferred
• Project management experience that prioritizes quick and consistent communication, reaching across teams and departments for input
• Strong interpersonal skills, including clear and effective written communication
• Attention to detail, self-starter approach to projects and solution creation who can work independently and return to a team with updates
• Proven track record with writing and editing polished copywriting under tight deadlines
