Ecommerce Manager
Our client, a swim and resort wear brand, is looking for a dynamic and passionate Ecommerce Manager with a growth-mindset, strong business acumen and self-starting attitude to drive the ecommerce business and digital presence online.
This role will be based in San Diego, CA on a hybrid structure.
Responsibilities
- Operate within a culture of self-sufficiency, where you take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact online sales and customer engagement including website traffic, marketing efforts, conversion metrics, and customer behavior.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in ecommerce, digital marketing, and customer experience, and apply them where relevant to improve the company's online performance.
- Actively work in cross-collaboration within the organization, working closely with all team members to ensure effective execution of ecommerce plans and align ecommerce initiatives with broader business objectives and overall brand storytelling.
- Manage and optimize product presentation and merchandising to optimize for SEO, conversion, multiple item sales and repeat purchases through management of PDP presentation, product details and imagery, limited promotional activity, and monitoring of inventory levels to maximize full price sales.
- Lead the management and optimization of the company's ecommerce website by providing an exceptional customer experience from pre-purchase to post-purchase that is aligned with brand identity, quality standards, and product offering.
- Identify friction points in the online customer experience and ways to resolve them that will increase customer engagement, conversion and loyalty.
- Monitor ROAS productivity from all marketing activities at the GM level to ensure profitability.
- Manage all expenditures within budget and aligned with profitability targets.
- Own and manage relationships with external partners including agencies for SEO, digital marketing, and website development.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, online marketing channels, and customer acquisition strategies. Experience with Shopify preferred.
- Self-sufficiency, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media advertising, and other digital marketing strategies.
- Strong business acumen including an understanding of drivers and detractors of profitability
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in using ecommerce analytics tools to monitor and optimize performance metrics.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong cross-collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, fashion, or a related field.
- Familiarity with web development, UX/UI design, and mobile optimization principles.
- 2-5 years of experience in ecommerce management, preferably in a similar industry.
