Business Manager Jobs

As a Business Manager for TCW’s Global Chief Operating Officer and Head of Corporate Strategy, the incumbent will provide support to the business strategy, optimize performance by influencing decision-making, enable execution of strategic initiatives, and help ensure the business operates within a sound control environment with appropriate governance. The Business Managers is responsible for identifying, escalating, and driving mitigation of business risks and opportunities.

• Curate industry information and proactively analyze impact on TCW’s business
• Identify and resolve issues and risks that impact the business, liaise closely with firm wide risk, control, and legal & compliance functions
• Conduct enterprise-wide growth and efficiency initiatives
• Manage projects on key agenda items, including geographic footprint, product strategy, and organizational scale
• Organize events & committees; driving institutional governance in partnership with the Legal Department
• Develop and implement strategic plans, projects & initiatives covering operations, corporate strategy, and business transformation
• Partner with multiple areas (Product and Client Groups, Technology, Legal & Compliance, Strategy, Risk, Finance, HR, Communications, and other functions) to conduct institutional agenda
• Develop and manage corporate dashboards with key business metrics
• Support the Global Chief Operating Officer and the Head of Corporate Strategy to respond to CEO and Board requests

• Robust understanding of financial products, corporate structure and decision-making processes
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Proficient in building high-impact management presentations in PowerPoint; proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets
• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale projects or business operations
• Strong project management & organizational skills: coordinating and managing multiple initiatives (robust time management) and navigating the organization across seniorities and functions; problem-solving skills

• Great communications skills (verbal & written): ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and succinctly
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking, including strategic and holistic thinking ability
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to interact with highest level of the organization
• Strong project management & organizational skills: coordinating and managing multiple initiatives (robust time management) and navigating the organization across seniorities and functions
• A strong team player who is proactive

• Global operating experience strongly preferred

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $160k to $200k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
