We design and manufacture the world’s leading industrial and IT enclosures, racks, and accessories, including high efficiency, high-density power management, and climate control systems for industrial, data center, outdoor and hybrid applications.


As the Director, Vertical Markets, you will focus on leading our vertical market business through initiatives with the objective of increasing revenue for Rittal. Lead Vertical Market Managers between the verticals to ensure the successful completion of projects and goals.


Primary Activities/Duties:


  • Responsible for KPI metrics of ecosystem accounts and opportunities (CV’s and ops) and driving the right habits with GM’s where necessary.
  • Identification of marketing opportunities within verticals for Rittal.
  • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.
  • Lead and develop Vertical Market Managers to ensure the successful completion of goals and objectives.
  • Measure performance to assure the vertical is progressing as compared to original plan and budget
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks working with division and cross divisional management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
  • Develop contacts within Fortune 50 accounts to drive Rittal brand demand within business.
  • Educated team on key initiatives/drivers of the Vertical and the cause/impact to the organization’s strategies and goals.
  • Responsible for revenue generation for Vertical markets on national level.
  • Communicate by producing reports to provide timely and accurate status and decision support information to Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive management. Makes recommendations based on current vertical status to resolve issues.
  • Managers, motivates and mentor cross-functional /cross divisional project team of project managers, business analysts, developers, and validation analysts.
  • Develop and communicate vertical market strategy with sales leaders to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.


Knowledge & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Prefer a degree in a Technical field such as engineering, industrial distribution, business Management or Business Administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Previous experience as sales manager in Manufacturing industry or similar executive role (Director)
  • High energy, self-motivated, and goal oriented
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • 5+ years managing initiatives and team goals and metrics
  • 9+ years’ experience in sales, program management, business analysis and market analysis
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
