The Role
This newly created role in Molecular Genetics and Oncology Research and Development will have responsibility in research, product development and product management. This important position has strong dotted-line report to the product Director/Sr Product Director within a franchise or platform and reports solid-line to the Executive Scientific Director within Research and Development.
The successful candidate will lead new solution development and life cycle management for one or more sub-segments as part of a matrixed team tasked with developing research platforms, genomic care pathways and new revenue opportunities. They will also advocate and prioritize business cases with the Product Director(s) and help garner support to execute strategies through marketing and the value-delivery organization.

• Assure the voice of customer is brought into the in-line and product/solution creation process
• Masters Degree minimum in relevant biology/health/science field
• Partner with Marketing on product/solution marketing strategy and mix
• Work with key strategic partners across and external to Quest to identify opportunities for enhanced product awareness and utility
• Lead cross functional teams to identify, develop and implement product/solutions addressing unmet customer needs that will drive profitable growth in sub-segment
• Demonstrated aptitude and skills in product management.
• Provide training and or education for internal and external customers and contribute to the development of such training materials.
• Preference towards individuals with direct experience in clinical, direct to business and/or population genetic testing environments or programs
• Coordinate or lead the activities of other employees in the organization
• Understand the competitive landscape to insure we have winning solutions in development and in the marketplace
• Demonstrate a level of expertise in all Quest systems
• Drive test launch activities including development of customer education material, reports, white papers, clinical data collection, test code and panel structures.
• Generate customer insights to define customer/market sub-segment requirements to set product/portfolio solution, priority setting, risk management
• Develop internal and external relationships to advance research opportunities
• Work collaboratively with specialty sales forces to enhance our clients understanding of Quest’s genetic offerings
• Organize and track deliverables across a team using Quest project management tools
• 8+ years relevant experience in healthcare leading development of new products or programs
• Work across Quest to ensure product/solutions are collaborative and complementary
• Mentor other members of the organization
