Your Role at Raising Cane’s:


The Director of Training Design is responsible for strategic oversight and management of a team of instructional designers and content managers working to create and update training programs and support materials. This is a leadership role within the training department, supporting our restaurants for all training curriculum needs, documentation of company initiatives and compliance training.


Your Impact and Responsibilities:


  • Seeks out and implements new methods and resources for best-in-class training design and curriculum development
  • Develops and manages printing delivery strategies and print vendor relationships
  • Maps training materials and program curricula to Raising Cane’s Learning Management System
  • Leads and develops a team of highly effective and culturally aligned instructional designers and content developers
  • Builds and maintains routine update processes for training programs and oversees execution of needed updates
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with leaders from other departments to solve problems, identify subject matter experts and develop plans for design solutions
  • Monitors quality and efficiency of all design work and deliverables
  • Organizes all workflows for the team and oversees project timelines and completion


Requirements for Success:


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
  • Able to work out of our Plano, TX office with occasional travel
  • Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in QSR, retail or hospitality industry
  • 3+ years of training program design and implementation experience in QSR, retail or hospitality industry operations
  • Able to measure and evaluate program impact and results
  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
