Director Of Student Life

Narrative Description
The Director of Student Life monitors and directs aspects of Student Life at the College and reports directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. The Director of Student Life has responsibility for student services at the Clarendon Campus and works to respond to student needs.
Responsibilities

• Support college activities and special events through attendance and/or participation.
• Assist in recruiting and retention of students.
• Housing
• Serve and participate on institutional standing and/or ad hoc committees, as assigned.
• Discipline, reporting and tracking.
• Assist with preparation of and participates in commencement ceremonies.
• Student activities
• Develops and implements procedures for providing information to the Vice President of Academic Affairs to keep him/her informed of all aspects of the areas of responsibility.
• Has direct responsibility for the following student services:
• Formulates and recommends procedures on matters relating to functions supervised.
• Campus security
• Participates in the preparation and recommendation of budgets for responsible areas. Establishes and maintains budgetary control of areas of responsibility.
• Student life
• Student organizations
• Serve as a liaison between the cafeteria provider and the College.

110. Comply with all College policies, rules, and regulations.
111. Remain current through a program of professional development.
112. Communicate an accurate image of the College to the public. Be a positive and active representative of Clarendon College. Be available to address impromptu situations involving the College during non-traditional work hours.
113. Reside in College housing.
114. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Academic Affairs and/or the President.
Education: Bachelors Degree Preferred
