DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for establishing and coordinating all sales and marketing strategies, plans, programs, and functions. The successful leader will take responsibility for the increasing revenue growth and improve the company’s profitability. This is the role of a proven leader with in-depth industry experience and a true passion for the entertainment industry. This leader must have exceptional project management skills, record of building high-performance teams and outstanding relationships with internal and external customers. A strong work ethic with proactive communication skills that encourages courageous conversations is a must.

Director of Sales and Marketing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops marketing action plans that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments to implement and achieve targeted opportunities.
  • Plans and directs overall sales and marketing strategy for the company, including brand awareness, sales initiatives, customer service policies and strategic promotional programs.
  • Oversees and verifies reporting of sales and marketing activities, including leads generated and tracking reports, event bookings, reservations, and revenue projections. Determines appropriate reporting frequency, such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Manages relationships with advertising agencies, public relations firms, and market research firms.
  • Directs planning, forecasting, marketing program development, community relationship development, collateral material development and customer satisfaction initiatives based on company’s goals.
  • Provides framework for proper alignment of sales strategy with staff organization.
  • Provides recommendations for improving or adding new offerings and assists with service and product development.
  • Monitors the sales and marketing team members daily activity and development
  • Establishes short- and long-term revenue goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives and sets performance goals accordingly
  • Modifies marketing efforts based on availability of resources and opportunities to maximize ROI on existing marketing programs.
  • Implementing a program for market research including current industry trends and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Builds and develops beneficial community partnerships programs, such as give-backs for non-profit organizations and community trade-out opportunities
  • Plans company’s creative and strategic seasonal based promotions and events to maximize revenue volume.
  • Develops and manages sales and marketing budget
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for sales and marketing team members
  • Establishes a referral network program with local businesses and find opportunities to maximize value from those connections
  • Member of the Executive Team to ensure accountability for executing revenue strategies for company
  • Monitors and enhances sales and marketing training and orientation program to educate new hires as the company grows
  • Analyzes programs data to find trends and problems for the company’s services, products, and group events
  • Develops and evaluates competitive employee programs to reach revenue goals and analyzes feedback reports from programs
