Director Of Sales - Chemicals And Ingredients

Our client is a leading manufacturer of value-added high-purity functional ingredients that are used in the manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals, Nutritional & Dietary Supplements, and Food Products.

We are looking to hire a Director of Sales who has an Ingredient sales background and managerial experience. This position will have 5 to 6 outside sales managers as direct reports as well as a few inside salespeople. You will coach, mentor, train, and hire the sales force.

Requirements:

· 10 years minimum experience working for a manufacturer or distributor of value-added functionally active PHARMACEUTICAL, NUTRITIONAL, or FOOD INGREDIENTS in a B-to-B sales capacity.

· 3 years minimum experience managing a sales team of at least 3 sales reps.

· Bachelor's degree is required - Business / Marketing is fine but Food Science, Chemistry, or Nutrition is preferred

· A proven and successful track record of generating business within the targeted market segments (Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, and Food)

· Knowledge of customers in the target market

· A confident and hard-working attitude. Positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic personality

· Excellent negotiation skills, writing and presentation of contracts, etc.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Excellent time management and prioritization skills

· Ability and desire to travel as much as needed to get the job done
