Description & Requirements
Role
The Senior Buyer - Ingredients- Misc. Oils & Additives is responsible for North America (U.S. and Canada) Procurement for the Kraft Heinz Company. From a supply chain and price risk management perspective- the categories are complex and volatile. The individual in this position should be a strategic sourcing expert. Commodity and price risk management experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of specific productivity and cash flow targets in alignment with overarching goals and objectives- focusing on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The scope of this position includes category financial planning and budget setting as related to respective spending areas.
  • Ensure the most optimal terms and conditions for Kraft Heinz while not negatively impacting service or quality.
  • Category strategy development and ongoing category management result from sourcing activities to ensure the most effective supply base design. This position is linked closely with several cross-functional areas from an overall project management perspective and strategy execution.
  • Market and industry analysis- supplier research and review- category and supplier segmentation- sourcing events- analysis- negotiations- contracting- and implementation.
  • Manages various transactional activities related to systems and processes and is responsible for learning- understanding- and following all Kraft Heinz policies and Procurement policies and procedures as part of the overarching Procurement governance model.
  • Interact closely with the Procurement Global Category Leads/Director and other cross-functional senior leaders.
  • Leading and facilitating the strategic sourcing process for the Ingredients category
Qualifications
  • High results-orientation.

  • Can be forceful and direct as well as diplomatic.
  • Strong Analytical- Planning and Execution skills.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in Direct Procurement (i.e.- Ingredients- Packaging)
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
  • Leadership & Management experience preferred
  • Can work through tough agreements and settle disputes effectively.
  • Can effectively articulate various perspectives and impacts of issues and project them into the future. Able to see all sides and the inherent value to stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Excel and in developing presentations
  • Effective at establishing trust- building effective business relationships- and getting things done through others.
  • Strong written- verbal- and listening skills
  • Organizational Agility – knows how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle projects at varying levels of complexity
