Description & Requirements
Primal Kitchen is hiring a Manager- Ingredients – Avocado Oil Procurement- with a particular emphasis on Avocado Oil and Olive Oil. This person will report- directly to the Associate Director- Ingredients Procurement – Sweeteners- Oils- & Food Additives and will work collaboratively with the Primal Kitchen Leadership Team as well as the Kraft Heinz Procurement Organization.
Position Summary
As the Manager- Ingredients - Avocado Oil Procurement you will provide leadership that results in securing the highest quality oil products and the best cost through strategic sourcing- supply chain and commodity risk management- across a broad range of refiners and geographies. In collaboration with your cross-functional stakeholders- you will directly source and contract oil to meet Primal Kitchen’s business needs and will be responsible for ensuring supply continuity for the business. You will be responsible for delivering value to the Primal Kitchen business through category transformation- team development- strategic partnerships- and cash flow management.
Responsibilities

• Spearhead Master Supply Agreements (end-to-end process) with various oil suppliers
• Oversee quarterly/semi-annual negotiations to meet production requirements
• Explore new refining partners; oversee onboarding- quality compliance requirements and quality audits- capacity and supply chain constraints
• Engage with suppliers and internal partners at Primal Kitchen to drive supplier performance- resolve quality issues- and generate market intelligence
• Build ongoing relationships with current refiners
• Inventory management
• Relationship with current refiners and brokers
• Develop strategies to address capacity restraints
• Be the liaison to the broader Kraft Heinz procurement organization to ensure we are compliant with KHC best practices and policies
• Review demand planning and forecasting to set up contracts
• Explore opportunities with R&D for new oils- blends- packaging- etc.
• International broker management
• Own continuous improvement processes including cost reduction and supply chain transparency
• Manage day-to-day supply chain including
• Adjustments to the requirements
• Avocado oil demand planning- align changes to sales forecast
• Track and proactively prevent supply chain loss by working collaboratively with our external manufacturers to monitor inventory levels- forecasting- and safety stock
• Problem-solve ingredient or material shortages – both internally at Primal Kitchen and externally at our manufacturers
• Inbound PO performance
• Own ongoing research internally and externally
• Ensure there is enough capacity to fulfill the requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3+ years of experience with long-range oil requirements and understanding of supply chain and continuous improvement
• Understanding of competitors and their procurement strategies
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative recommendations and solutions
