Junior Food Buyer Jobs

Our client is seeking a Junior Buyer in the West Loop area. This position is open due to growth so it's a very exciting time to join the team! Great benefits, competitive PTO, generous bonus, solid work/life balance.

This position will work on-site 4 days a week in their downtown office in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

Requirements:

• 6 months minimum purchasing experience or supporting Buyers/Procurement professionals
• Basic procurement knowledge
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Supplier management; work closely with vendors and internal teams to manage safety stock
• Continuous improvement (the company values innovative suggestions)
• Maintain weekly metrics
• Various projects and tasks as assigned
• Planning & purchasing responsibilities - creating purchase orders, interfacing with vendors, pricing, etc.
• Work cross functionally with various departments
