Jel Sert is looking for a Sales Director for the Western half of the United States, supporting the flourishing All Sport Electrolyte business in the Industrial sector!
The Director of Sales-Industrial Channel is responsible for pioneering, protecting, and growing All Sport sales and distribution as a safety product in the Industrial/Occupational space. This role also focuses on managing, training, and leading our Manufacturer Representatives and is expected to fully support the day-to-day activities of the Vice President of Sales over the Industrial Channel. These activities include item maintenance, items set up, new customer setup, forecasting, presentation development, new product development, trade show management, and working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. The job requires excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide Jel Sert Senior Management with Industrial Sector insights and recommendations for continued profitable brand and share growth.
- Ensure new package, product, and flavor introductions deliver incremental profitable sales.
- Manage Distributor pricing ensuring Distributors are placed in the appropriate column.
- Analyze sales trends and gather market intelligence to create new business-building opportunities.
- Develop and present PowerPoint to Rep Agencies, Distributors and internal Jel Sert business reviews that help. measure results against established KPI’s.
- Work with Various Rep Agencies calling on Distributors as well as End Users.
- Ensure sales data is captured accurately and that Rep Commissions are submitted and paid on a timely basis.
- Participate and manage National and Regional trade shows that are geographically appropriate.
- Achieve annual sales and profit objectives as assigned by VP.
- Responsibility for National Accounts that are geographically appropriate.
- Ensure accurate monthly forecast and plan development and follow up on Distributor order delivery.
- Engage in Rep sales training, people development and team leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of consistently growing accounts business.
- 7-10 years of sales experience within the Industrial/Safety Channel.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Must have knowledge of the Industrial/Safety industry and have worked with key Distributors.
- A college degree is preferred, though not required.
- Must be experienced with developing customer programs and both long- and short-term strategic planning.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITY
- Experience creating sales presentations and developing customer programs.
- Excellent communication skills – able to present ideas effectively, listen actively, and work across functional boundaries.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to succeed in a customer-focused sales organization.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word).
- Solid understanding of business statistics and financials including effective P&L management.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to business opportunities by thinking “outside the box”.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Remote/Home Office. Additionally, 25% or more travel is required.
