Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary Director of Procurement to lead our sourcing and procurement efforts. As the Director of Procurement, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing end-to-end procurement processes, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring our team's effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and communicate a procurement business plan, setting long-term goals for the department to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering their professional development and growth.
Conduct vendor risk assessments, evaluating aspects such as IS security, financial viability, and service level expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks and negotiate contracts and agreements.
Engage in complex negotiations with suppliers, strategizing to meet operational needs while ensuring stakeholder requirements are met.
Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Identify opportunities for product standardization and supplier consolidation to reduce costs and improve quality.
Implement innovative procurement strategies to maximize spending, reduce risk, and generate savings.
Develop and deliver procurement-related training programs for the team and organization.
Manage procurement policies and procedures, regularly communicating with departments to ensure understanding and compliance.
Conduct market research, cost estimates, and industry forecasts.
Clearly define roles and responsibilities between contract reviews, sourcing, and procurement functions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in procurement and contract negotiation.
Experience in writing policies and procedures.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Management Experience.
Willingness to travel as required.
