Title: Head of Procurement

Client: A global $30 billion+ trading firm is currently expanding into brand-new markets and growing at a phenomenal rate, and requires a central individual to spearhead the procurement process for this expansion. You will be working with key executive stakeholders, both externally and internally, to manage the IT strategy in an efficient and innovative fashion.

You will continually improve the procurement process, with a specific eye for cost-efficient decision-making, working with teams throughout the firm on strategy, design, and implementation - This global market leader requires an experienced individual to take ownership over this expansion and the mission-critical procurement operations that come alongside it.

Locations: Chicago, Illinois - With a generous Hybrid work style in place.

Total Cash Compensation: $120k - $285k + Upside, depending on previous experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Seek innovative ways to simplify and automate daily procedures, and proactively identify and remedy any operational inefficiencies through structured project plans to enhance internal purchasing strategies.
• Explore spend category opportunities and conduct competitive vendor sourcing events for cost optimization.
• Supervise standard procurement processes, collaborating with numerous technical and legal teams, as well as vendors, to acquire hardware, software, and services for a global scale-up.

Recommended Skills:

• Skills in recognizing and rectifying operational inefficiencies while also having the capability to work independently across numerous concurrent projects.
• Experience working around trading systems hardware, including work with Data Centers and numerous software systems.
• Proficiency and familiarity with collecting and analyzing data sets, as well as constructing financial models using Microsoft Excel.
