About the Role:
As Director of Data Science & Business Intelligence you will be empowered to build an enterprise Data Science and BI capability. This role will be critical in scaling our BI infrastructure and unlocking the power of data science in creating stickier experiences to our customers. Your knowledge of statistics, BI infrastructure, and analytics methods combined with your strong management and communication skills will determine how we evolve key areas of our business. In this role you will be a player-coach, fully remote and report to senior leaders in the Analytics and Finance Organization.
You Will:
- Create a data science roadmap that aligns with key areas of the business and unlocks value
- Collaborate cross functionally with analytics teams, engineering teams, and groups of passionate stakeholders dedicated to improving our customer experience
- Build & scale our data science team, ultimately helping our business make decisions better
- Create multivariate models that showcase the key drivers of customer retention and churn
- Outline the customer journey, and identify levers the business can pull to delight our customer and create sticky experiences
- Create and deliver on a business intelligence roadmap that scales our infrastructure, reporting and data model capabilities
- Distill our knowledge of the consumer into playbooks, data visualizations effectively putting knowledge into action that helps out business make decisions better
You Have:
- Strong SQL skills
- Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and an ability to lead a team and operate autonomously
- Ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences
- 9+ years of analytics experience
- Hands-on experience in statistics and machine learning, both in building and maintaining models as well as coaching and helping analysts choose the right methods to solve the problem at hand
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization and BI in Looker or Tableau
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to coach and teach best practices
- Advanced knowledge of data models, infrastructure and data architecture
- Expert proficiency in Python or R
- 5+ years of leading analytics and data science teams with direct reports
A Big Plus If You Have:
- An advanced degree in Data Science or Statistics or a Ph.d in a related field
- DBT, airflow, and Databricks experience business intelligence and data science enterprise teams in the past
- Extensive experience working with Data Engineering

Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H’s compensation range for this role.
An estimate of the current salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSU’s) so that H&H employees own a piece of our company.
The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.
