The Director of Category Management & Sales Operations will be a key partner to lead customer growth and profitability of the WellSpring portfolio. The individual who will succeed at this role will have CPG customer and sales operations experience, coupled with a competitive, hands-on-to-win mindset. The position will work closely with marketing to support the overall business strategy and deliver overall business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Customer Strategy
• Customer segmentation
• Customer profitability and investment strategy
• Innovation support (channel strategy, trade support, launch support)
• Manage Broker Relationship
Pricing Leadership
• Manage price and overall profitability
• Competitive analysis
Trade Management
• Customer planning and reconciliation
• Trade event execution and ROI analysis / optimization
Forecasting and Demand Planning
Sales Support
• Selling support (presentations, data support, innovation support)
• Data management (IRI, Nielsen, POS, shipments)
• Promotion support (trade plans, displays, pricing - account specific and national)
Identify category white space
• Innovation potential
• Acquisition potential
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA desired.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods, with an
emphasis on Consumer Healthcare desired.
• Customer experience in Sales, Category Management, and Trade
Management desired.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence.
• Proven analytical and strategic capabilities, with the ability to translate data
into insights and inform sales presentations, retail strategies, product ideas,
and overall brand opportunities.
• Experience in implementing new product launches.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
