Job Description


We are searching for a creative & strategic marketer to lead our Communications, Influencer and VIP strategy based on forward-thinking trend forecasting, industry insights, and an intimate understanding of the ever-evolving social landscape to keep ILIA at the forefront. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, requiring work with multiple departments, including Digital, Creative, Education, Brand and Retail Marketing. This position will also oversee all external agencies globally.


This role is remote for candidates in Los Angeles or New York, reports into our VP of Integrated Marketing and is “part art and part science” – passion for communications, influencers, building relationships and innovative content, balanced with strong analytical skills.


  • Lead press and influencer team, ensuring employee growth and development across all positions.
  • Build monthly reporting and presentations; Identify, track, analyze, and measure performance against KPI’s.
  • Build out 360 VIP/talent strategy for ILIA globally.
  • Maintain authentic relationships with key relevant influencer partners, editors, and talent agents.
  • Ideate fresh and compelling ways to engage ILIA’s creator community with a 360 approach to DTC, retail, press, makeup artists, social etc..
  • Partner with Social team to ensure influencer content is integrated seamlessly into social media strategy for both new launches and evergreen moments.
  • Oversee all branded events, from conception to execution, including but not limited to concept strategy, creative ideation, attendee confirmation and internal creative management.
  • Map out gifting strategy for each market for both press and influencer, taking into consideration the maturity of the market and various goals and budgets for each country.
  • Own and develop strong, dynamic PR strategy for ILIA globally, alongside PR Manager and domestic and international agencies. Ensure strategic product editorial placements, in-depth feature stories and event coverage in top tier national and regional publications to support increased brand visibility and awareness, specially in new markets.
  • Roll out ILIA influencer program internationally as we launch in Europe and beyond.
  • Track and synthesize ongoing trends in social media and influencer management while monitoring competitive brands to be up to speed.
  • Own and build influencer strategy for ILIA globally that supports overall marketing calendar and priorities with the support of influencer team.
  • Ensure core business is sustained and kept top of mind through always on talent and influencer activations, seeding and partnerships throughout the year.
  • Partner with PR agencies and key retailers on relevant programs.
  • Oversee all talent and influencer contracts, negotiations, and payments.
  • Build talent and influencer strategy for all new product launches, partnering closely with Social, Brand and Retail marketing teams.
  • Drive UGC content strategy balancing a growth-mindset with a brand-right lens to fuel innovative influencer content that performs via Digital and Social. Oversee all content creation briefs, partnering closely with the Creative and Digital teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Oversee key brand partnerships from an influencer and PR lens, partnering closely with the Brand team.
  • Monitor competitive activity and community platforms to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Grow performance partner program in conjunction with VP of Digital.
  • Build influencer budget in conjunction with VP of Marketing. Maintain budget on an ongoing basis with team, conducting recaps for month close.

  • 7+ years of communications, marketing, or public relations experience with at least 5 years of management level experience
