Director Research Program Development

The Director of Research and Program Development will oversee the Department of Neurosurgery's research and development efforts in collaboration with the Chair and Unified Administrator. The incumbent will help the unified administrator organize and develop the Department's Research portfolio for basic, clinical and translational research, overseeing pre and post award management for faculty and trainees. This person will identify and develop business opportunities for the Neurosciences, supporting strategic program expansion efforts. This person will lead reporting and monitoring for the department, identifying opportunities for improvement and initiating projects to further develop research and clinical operations. The incumbent will provide support for ad hoc projects as needed and will serve as a backup for the Unified Administrator.

Education/Skills required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Prior research and program development experience in an academic medical center.
